(Watertown, SD) – The National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE) announced last week that it has officially reached the 800 member mark. SmartWave Technologies LLC, a Suwanee, Georgia based company, has the special distinction of becoming the 800th NATE member company. The 800 member mark represents an all-time record for the Association in its 20 year history.

“We are celebrating this special achievement at NATE as it speaks volumes to the impact the Association is having in terms of enhancing safety and quality in the industry,” said NATE Member Services Committee Chairwoman Pat Miller from EasTex Tower, Inc. in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Over the course of the last year and a half, NATE has led efforts to bring the industry together in unprecedented fashion; actively supporting and collaborating with industry workers, companies, organizations and agencies to pursue the common goal of achieving long-term, sustainable safety and quality improvements. This active collaboration has resulted in NATE membership increasingly becoming a requirement in order to conduct work on tower sites. Additionally, the Association recently unveiled the Fourth Edition of the NATE Tower Climber Fall Protection Training Standard (NATE CTS) and announced the establishment of a new Public Safety Agency Membership category.

“This new milestone is a testament to the tremendous benefits and services the Association offers its members,” stated NATE Member Services Committee Member Nicole Paulette, from Elevated Services, LLC in Carrollton, Ohio. “Our small contractor company has significantly benefited from our membership investment and affiliation with NATE,” added Paulette.

“NATE’s membership deserves a great deal of recognition for this historic accomplishment due to their steadfast loyalty and commitment in helping promote the Association,” said Executive Director Todd Schlekeway.  “At the same time, there are many more prospective companies involved in the wireless infrastructure industry today who would benefit from the return on investment provided by a NATE membership. We plan to continue to engage these companies in dialogue over the next several months in order to educate them on the value of joining the Association,” exclaimed Schlekeway.

NATE member companies consist of tower construction firms, general contractors, tower owners/vertical realtors, wireless carriers, engineering firms, manufacturers, distributors, public safety entities and training companies. For NATE membership information, companies and industry stakeholders are encouraged to call (605) 882-5865 or visit the Association’s website at http://natehome.com/membership.
